Program #1 The RETAINER PROGRAM
I will contact 4,000 newspapers with your column over 11 months... at the rate of 365 per month for a fee of $3,000 per month. This includes writing or re-writing your column proposal package (you supply the columns), a critique of your contract (or I'll provide one), all contact with editors, postage, all materials, and an educational manual. This represents about 60 hours of work a month for 12 months on your behalf. Out-of-pocket expenses are included. See below for the list of activities involved in this service.
Ask yourself: Do you have that kind of time to spare each and every month for a year? At your hourly consulting rate can you afford to do it yourself without losing a substantial chunk of your income?

Editors
Personal contact with 4000 editors over 11 months (333
newspapers per month) following the development of your
proposal package. We contact editors with

your column (no other columns) to generate column
contract offers, and face-to-face when on the road.
D. Critique of your contract or use our contract.
E.
Contract negotiations on your behalf, when an editor shows
interest, even qualified interest.
F. Reports to you on a weekly basis by email
(usually
Friday.)
WHAT
YOU NEED TO DO NEXT TO RETAIN ANDREA FOR THIS

Andrea, and shipping address to receive the manual.
3. Email your column proposal and
3-6 sample columns (published or unpublished). Be sure one
of the columns is unpublished, right away.

ANDREA WILL ACT AS A SYNDICATE FOR CERTAIN
COLUMNISTS
Question
from many aspiring columnists: "Andrea, will you market my
column for a percentage of what you are able to sell for
me, intead of a monthly retainer?"
Answer: The only columns I
will market
without a monthly retainer are for
columnists who meet all these qualifications with
documentation provided:
1. Those column concepts I think are
highly marketable to at least 400
newspapers.
2. Those columns for which you have
already sold at least 6 columns for
payment to at least one newspaper.
3. Those column
proposals I have written. Your investment for this
is $2500.00.
4. Those columns that are
daily or twice-weekly. You must be capable of
that kind of output, for decades if necessary.
5. Columns by authors of
traditionally published, successful
books.
6. Columns of which
I hold all rights, including derivative and subsidiary
rights,
for the sales life of the column, no matter what column
name changes occur.
7. Columns with
contracts that I negotiate. You would receive 50% of
net income.
8. Columns written by columnists who have studied my
manual.
