Historically, a concierge
is employed by an apartment building, a hotel or a
hospital, trusted to serve clients, guests, residents,
patients and medical staff. More recently, personal
concierges are becoming more accessible to individuals,
families and businesses whose busy lives require
additional, occasional assistance to maintain life-work
balance.
Says Wikipedia: Today there are
numerous independently owned and operated concierge
companies. Many of these companies provide errand
services, as well as informational services for their
members. Services include informational requests,
setting dinner reservations, making telephone calls,
researching travel arrangements and more.
