Win the services of a home economist for 2 hours ($60 value).
You could be one of up to 30 winners. Contest closes: Sat. Dec. 26, 2009

[ Erie PA] Starting May 30, HandyAnde.com will be choosing a winner a week from entries received that week for two consecutive hours of in-home services of the winner's choosing. So long as there are entries, there will be a winner chosen each Sunday for the rest of 2009.

Handy Ande is
Andrea Reynolds, who has a Bachelor of Science degree in Family and Consumer Studies and Business from Kent State University and 3 decades of experience as a single homeowner, homemaker, author, speaker, broadcaster, bed and breakfast owner, and business owner. Her nickname at McDowell was Ande and it stuck.

She will come to your home or office anywhere in Erie County to provide services for 2 hours ($60 value) at no charge…if your essay is chosen. If you ask, she'll organize/declutter your messy surroundings, run your errands, help you move, look after your pets, prepare nutritious meals, help you organize your yard sale, and look after your elderly parent so you can leave the house.

Reynolds owns two other businesses: a consulting firm to assist professionals in building half-million and million dollar advice empires, and a crisis investigation and money retrieval service for individuals who have lost money at the hands of unscrupulous others. Her work has been profiled in
Time, USA Today, The Financial Post, and on national TV and radio. She was interviewed by Sir David Frost on the subject of manners and morals.

Handy Ande is based in Erie and for now serves only the Erie community.

Her contest requires thought, but not necessarily writing skill (spelling helps):
1. Your wish list of services,
2. Why you think Andrea would want to work for you.
3. Your contact information in case you win. (You must be at least 18 years of age.)
An entry form is located on AndreaReynolds.com

Why is Andrea Reynolds being so generous?. Two reasons:

“I turn 60 in July, so to celebrate my birthday, I'm giving away $60 worth of my time to people who will appreciate what I can do for them. It's birthday gift-giving in reverse."

And secondly, she returned to Erie where she grew up, after living in other states and countries and wants to rebuild her businesses here to be able to employ other people in the future. Adds Reynolds, "People need to have a sample of my work and work ethic so they can refer me to their friends and neighbors."
