3 winners
After more than 30 weeks
of promoting this contest here in Erie County there were
only 3 entries. I've decided that instead of picking one
winner, I will simply declare all 3 entrants as winners,
but provide
only one hour of service to each one. That way I've actually
awarded an additional hour of services over the two which
was advertised, and everyone who took the time and thought
to enter my contest will win. If you entered, you won.
The three winners will know who they
are:
First Prize: K in Corry
Second Prize: T in Corry
Third Prize: R in Lawrence Park
I intend to provide and
complete services in the month of January 2010 in case I
decide to leave Erie at the end of January. I'll be contact
with each winner privately to arrange a date and a back up
date in the event of bad weather.
I've been thinking that if
I must work this long and hard to give my services away
for free and out of 100,000 people
only 3 people responded, I'll never be able to build Handy
Ande into a profitable business that can employ people who
need jobs. So I won't do any more promotion of Handy Ande
and am offering the domain name (.com and .info) and web
site for sale.
As
of January 1, 2010 I will embark on three
activities:
1. *Contact individuals and companies who owe me money for
work I did, or who took money and didn't do the promised
work. There are quite a few people in Erie County (and
Canada and England) who I hope will have enough integrity
to want right a wrong.
2. Write several books: The Generosity Experiment, on
building an advice empire, on overcoming underearning, etc.
3. Return to my speaking career where I spoke to large,
professional audiences on: Generosity, Kindness,
Overcoming Adversity + Loss, Smarter Thinking,
Rebuilding an Advice Empire.
*I've offered my money recovery services to other
individuals who have lost significant money to unscrupulous
people, but sadly they refuse to share with me the
documents I need to get successful results for them. I
can't do my work if the evidence or proof is withheld. So
in future I will be my only client.
Working for myself I
can make 5 to 60 times the income I could get working for
others, for doing the same amount of work. Example: I got
paid $100 for getting a client a $1500 refund which took me
about 20 hours of work because the client required so much
prompting and explanation. That's about $5 an hour. But if
I were going after my own $1500, it would take me about 5
hours, an average of $300 an hour. You can see which is
more profitable for me: $5 an hour versus $300 an hour.
I may delete the Handy Ande web site on Thursday, December
31, 2009.
Or I could start a school. What do you think of
this?
The "Handy Ande" School of Handiness
Teaching
you Real Life Stuff you didn't learn from mom, grandma or
home economics class.
If
I do this, I'll be looking for students and instructors. If
you have an idea for a class you'd like to teach or a
subject you'd like to learn, please contact me. If there is
no interest I'll abandon the idea.
