What do I know about crises? Chances are I've been in your shoes and survived what you're going through. In the past 12 years I've experienced a home invasion while I was home, a dangerous stalker, two hate campaigns for helping police solve a crime, business losses, enormous debt, and homelessness.

When facing a crisis in which we feel anxious, angry, or powerless, many otherwise-brilliant people can see only two options: go or stay. But when we see we have a wide array of do-able options to choose from, we feel more confident, powerful and optimistic.

I am your crisis investigator, your personal advisor, or your advocate when you've been bullied, mistreated or exploited. I act in your best interests when you're feeling mind-numbing stress, anger and anxiety. You'll receive an arsenal of specific steps and solutions. You'll come away feeling supported, powerful, energized.

Are you a godmother, a ghost or a gremlin?

Godmothers want the best for you and if they had a magic wand (the means) they would make all your wishes come true.

Ghosts are nebulous, barely present, and not harming nor beneficial.

Gremlins are little ugly trolls or goblins who poke, jab, or trick you to create havoc in your life to cause deliberate misery.

For 30 years I have consulted to and promoted ambitious, risk-taking consultants, specialists and practitioners. Sadly, what I have seen over the past two decades is a great deal of self-absorption and, in the ruthless drive to succeed, a disregard and disrespect for the people they do business with.... service providers, suppliers or customers/patients/clients. I have seen this in my dealings with professionals and practitioners, both from the perspective of a patient, client, or customer myself; and as a provider of marketing and promotion services to authors, speakers, experts, and consultants.

As a promoter of *The Golden Rule, I am so disappointed by behavior I've observed that I closed my personal public relations practice rather than continue to be approached by people who believe they can treat others with contempt and unreasonable expectation. Which are you and which do you have in your life?

I have godmothers in my life and many, many ghosts, but the gremlins are prevalent, too. It's my desire, through speaking, writing, and consulting, to turn gremlins into ghosts and ghosts into godmothers.
