If you need a trained, dependable cat or dog sitter... Andrea is experienced.
She began house- and pet-sitting in 1976 and was a bonded
home and pet sitter in Toronto 'way back in 1979.
Andrea Reynolds is a contributor to this definitive book on
extending the life of your aging cat, by Dan Poynter.
House-sitting/Pet-sitting: March 2010
(L to R) Pukka, Harry and Bella resting after playing King of the Mountain
on Casper's scratching post.(He shares.)

Toby, who must wear a diaper in the house. The pets above were clients.
Casper - named for the friendly ghost by his first mom - got along fine with the cats and dogs in this home.
Above: My Jasper, a few weeks before he died in 2007.

Left: My Casper, playing "Dead Kitty" to tell me he wants to be fed.
Nonverbal communication works even when it's overly dramatic.
Right: Writing isn't easy, but my Casper often sits on my "mouse" hand, adding to the fun.
Why you will want Casper to accompany me to housesitting and caretaking assignments:
I will keep Casper until he's gone, because he and his (late) brother Dickens
saved my life and possibly the lives of my B & B guests. They woke me
so I could confront an intruder who broke in through a downstairs window.
Because of my little hero(es) I was able to get him out of the house, help
police catch him, identify him in court and put him in prison.
Smart homeowners who want to have their home and pets protected
should be delighted to have us as house-sitters.
Sadly, my last cat Casper died Nov. 20, 2010.
I'm not going to be adopting any more pets of my own.
This way your pets get 100% of my attention.

[ ] Freshening water bowls twice daily

Pet Taxi and Routine Vet Visits
I'll get your pet to the vet, stay with him or her, ask the right questions, get the proper instructions, bring him back, and stay with him, monitoring closely if he's still under sedation.
Andrea keeps a large dog crate - for cats and dogs - in her carpeted van, as well as a litter box for cats. The crate is useful to confine your animal during transportation when he is still feeling the effects of sedation and should not move around.
Rates: For non-caretaker assignments I can quote a "project rate" for long term sitting.
Pet sitter (only) living in: $60-100 per 24 hour day, $25 overnight.
Pet sitter visits: $20 - $40 per visit depending on care required, up to 6 visits over 16 hours per day.
Pet taxi: $20 per hour.

These were Andrea's 3 cats: Casper (who died of unknown causes Nov. 20, 2010), Jasper (deceased May 8, 2007 after serious respiratory illness, who had survived two earlier bouts of urinary blockage ... and Dickens (deceased April 5, 2005 from hypertophic cardiomyopathy and thromboembolism).
